Your chance to become part of the Big Data team
Based in Berlin, Würth's Big Data team develops Würth-specific digital knowledge tools using analysis, mathematics and machine learning. The goal is to secure the future viability of our family-owned company with a great tradition through data science insights. Our Big Data Research team is made up of people with an affinity for all things measurable. They excel as theoreticians as well as practitioners, mapping the complete value chain of a model including its application in their work. Various machine learning and deep learning methods are used, especially in the subareas of Natural Language Processing, Image Recognition, Predictive Analytics and Behavioral Analysis.We are looking for you as Data Scientist our Berlin-based Big Data Research group as soon as possible.
Your environment

As a Software Engineer, you will become a driver of innovative solutions based on AI and Machine Learning.- You will design and implement solutions for complex problems in a wide range of business areas
- In doing so, you will develop solutions ranging from data acquisition for training image-analytical methods to data modeling and programming to the application of the trained models in the industrial domain
- You will gradually assume conceptual and technical responsibility for subareas of our developed software solutions
- You are a contact person for our specialist departments at the company and coordinate the requirements for data-based solutions with them
Our Expectations
- You have successfully completed a technical degree (mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or similar).
- You have very good knowledge of Python and another programming language and have at least 3 years of professional experience as a developer in the industrial sector
- You have good knowledge and experience in application development with Python-based ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or similar.
- You have good knowledge and experience in backend development of scalable software and good knowledge of SQL databases
- Knowledge of Big Data platforms like Hadoop, Cassandra, IBM-Watson or similar is a plus
- You are open-minded for new technologies and curious to familiarize yourself with areas you are not familiar with
